Adopt a campter

Why is your help needed? Our camp has given a big boost to young people in the area. However, many are unable to pay the $285 camp cost for several reasons: some come from homes when one or both parents aren’t Christians, others from homes where bills can barely be paid and others need help because several members of the family attend camp.
Last year we didn't have enough adopters to cover all the kids who came, but we were able to break even, thanks to some who helped after camp.

Information about the camp:

We are renting a nice camp near Dingman's Falls, Pennsylvania for the week of June 28 - July 4.

In addition to the usual games and hijinks of camp, we have several hours each day devoted to Bible study. This year's theme will be "Why believe?" and we'll discuss why we can believe in an age of unbelief.

How can you adopt a camper? We expect all campers who need to be adopted to pay at least $55, which they should be able to do by saving quarters, dollars, etc. That will leave $230 per camper for "adopters." A full financial report will be available to all who request it after the camp.

"Adopters" will receive a note from their "adoptee" and hopefully a picture. It will be good for the kids to learn to express their appreciation for those who help them. Maybe some long term friendships can be established.

There will be three main ways you can adopt a camper with a few variations:
#1 "Full adoption" ($230) This will completely adopt one camper, We'll choose someone we feel is worthy of your help.

# 2 "Half adoption" ($115) You can go in with someone else (either of your choosing or ours) to adopt a camper.

# 3 Whatever you can give ($10? $15? $20? $25?) We'll put all these funds together to adopt needy campers. We'll send you a picture of all the campers.

# 4 Adopt a counselor ($190). This is the camp charge for counselors, plus added insurance which we must purchase ourselves this year.
